About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll ensure all machinery and plant equipment are maintained to the highest standards, keeping our operations running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance on machinery and plant equipment.
- Prioritise Health & Safety in all aspects of work.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to plan and prioritise maintenance tasks.
- Perform technical duties including machinery fitting, electrical maintenance, welding, greasing, and line upkeep.
- Maintain the Cold Store Plant and Pallet Trucks to ensure efficient operation.
- Report machinery or grounds damage promptly and assist in timely repairs.
- Uphold factory hygiene and timekeeping standards.
- Follow all company Health & Safety guidelines.
- Provide support to other departments when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in maintenance engineering or a similar industrial role.
- Strong skills in electrical systems, welding, and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, safety-first mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong team spirit.
- We’re looking for candidates who hold a recognised university degree (or equivalent). This role is also an ideal match for someone currently on a Graduate Visa, offering valuable professional experience while you build your career in the UK.
