An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Adult Services Contact Team as a Social Worker Full Time 37 hours per week. The team provides a front door service to our Learning Disability Older People and Physical Disability care management teams. The key duties required for this role include
To carry a workload reflecting increasing complexity risk uncertainty and challenge in line with the capability of a social worker role.
To work within relevant current legislation and the procedural framework of Bedford Borough Council.
To work collaboratively with service users and their families to assess their needs and plan and deliver services in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and other legislations applicable to Adult Services.
What we require from you
You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic with an ability to communicate verbally and written.
An ability to work in a fast paced team is essential.
You must have a relevant professional qualification a Degree in social work or equivalent.
Registration with Social Work England.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. This post carries a market rate supplement of £2,000 pa pro rata (subject to review), a welcome payment of £6,000, and retention payments of £2,000 paid after 4 years service and then every 4 years subsequently.
The Council has a sponsorship licence, and may be able to offer visa sponsorship to candidates for this post that are based in the UK.
